A genus of five species that were formerly placed in Merremia (Simões & Staples 2017). These species have unlobed to lobed leaf blades and stems with firm auricles at the nodes. Merremia was formally conserved against the earlier name Camonea, but Camonea is an acceptable generic name when considered distinct from Merremia (Art. 14.6, Ex. 5).
