Description Flowers yellow, fallen by afternoon; occasional scattered annual herb.
Habitat Disturbed, shallow (2-14 cm) dark loamy clay with gravel over dolomite 'pavement' bedrock; mesic to dry-mesic dolomite prairie, disturbed, with Malvastrum hispidum, Sporobolus vaginiflorus, Isanthus brachiatus, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Leptoloma cognatum.
