Locality USA. Florida , Manatee Co. : Longboat Key. S end, ca. 5 mi. W of Cortez. 27° 28' 9" N 82° 41' 10" W
Description 50 cm tall; broad, strap-like leaves basally arranged to form a deep cup; flower stalk arising from this cup; flowers red, tipped with purple.
Habitat In partial shade; area has been built up through fill operations; formerly was predominantly salt marsh.
