Description Locally abundant; stems erect; leaves linear, many rather falcate, often broadly canaliculate (U-shaped/concave), proximally deflexed, margins moderately undulate/sinuate; flowers with small yellow or maroon outer petals, inner petals very small, succulent, maroon.
Habitat Pasture, former sandhill, under shade of pines, with Opuntia humifusa, Chapmannia floridana, Asclepias humistrata, Tragia urens, Lupinus diffusus, and Galactia.
