Description Colonial shrubs usually 3-4 ft. tall, some to 7 ft. Variable in pubescence, habit, stipules, and leaf shape. Many clones sampled and numbered separately. [This specimen] 2-3 ft. tall; stipules obvious.
Habitat Margin of pinewoods with Myrica cerifera, Salix caroliniana, Sabal palmetto, Persea palustris, Berchemia scandens.
