Description Hundreds of plants emergent in coarse sand with silt amongst dense bed of tree rootlets.
Habitat Slopes of meandering black-water stream and (occasionally) in shallow water in streambed, under Acer rubrum - Betula nigra swamp forest.

Description Abundant; many large clumps with leaves swaing in current.
Habitat Fresh, flowing water of shallow channels of braided stream through Quercus laurifolia - Acer rubrum swamp forest in thin sand overy clay.

Habitat Shallow rivulets and drainage depressions through Liquidambar styraciflua - Acer rubrum - Taxodium ascendens swamp forest in silty alluvium over coarse sand with scattered Juncus sp.
