Habitat Taxodium swamp with heavy bloom of Spirodela; banks heavily wooded with Pinus taeda, Quercus phellos, Q. nigra, Carya tomentosa, and Liquidambar; water saturated sand; numerous tall trees to 25 m. tall; numerous seedlings in mud at edge of water.
