Locality USA. Florida , Lee Co. : E side of US 41Bus, North Flort Myers (Weaver's Corners), 0.2 mi. N of the FL 78 junction.
Description Thousands of plants, many submerged juveniles; leaves red when young, green or red when mature; flowers held ca. 20 cm above water, with a faint musty odor, fully open at 9 and 11 AM; sepals green, white-striped; petals white; stamens yellow.
Habitat Swift flowing canal.

Description This canal cleaned out 3 years ago removina a thick population of Nymphaea odorata, then nothing until this year with a fairly large population of Nymphaea lotus visible for 0.1-0.2 mi.; flowers white.

Description Many plants present, and many small plants from stolons; leaves with reddish veins beneath; flowers rose-pink, odor of tea-roses; sepals olive brown outside, petal bases white. Plants first appeared 18 years ago, not planted by locals.
