Description Herb to 1.5 m; leaves green pruinose-glaucous; peduncles pruinose, round below, 3-sided above; ovary green tuberculata; sepals pale green pruinose; bracts sutending flower pair, green; petals yellow; 3 staminodes yellow, large; petaloid stamen yellow.

Locality Suriname. Paramaribo Distr. By trench in town.
Description Erect herbs, to 0.5 m; leaves glaucous, white-powdery, the decurrent part undulate; sepals pale yellow with darker apex; petals pale sulphureous, pointing backwards and to the left; staminode pale yellow with salmon-coloured dots and lines; thecae dark; sterile part of stamen directed forward and to the left; style rigid, erect, lemon with pale apex; frequent.
