Description Dense clumps, culms originating close together, erect, somewhat arching outward, dark green, up to 8 cm thick, internodes up to 3 dm long, culms to 10-15 m tall; common.
Habitat Deep shaded ravine, alluvial soil; sides and terraces of ravine.
