Locality Mexico. Guerrero 10 km E of Telolapan, above Mexico #51 to Iguala (ca. km 55) (near Rancho Viejo, 1.4 km E of Chapa turnoff). 18° 19' 60" N 99° 48' 60" W
Description Sod forming on gravel edges of highway.
Habitat With Zea mays L. subsp. mexicana; on road bank and thickets of dry grassland (Andropogon hirtiflorus, A. condylotrichus, Trachypogon montufari, Stipa-Heterpogon contortus-Bouteloa-Aeopogon hirtiflorus, Hackelochloa granularis) savanna (small trees of Pseudomodingium perniciosum, Acacia-Mimosa scrub) with scattered Agave angustifolia and Eryngium on undulating rocky (calcareous?) terrain.
