Habitat Semi-evergreen broadleaf acid seep forest. Community dominated by Magnolia virginiana, Quercus nigra, Liquidambar styraciflua, Pinus taeda, Carpinus caroliniana, mixed ferns, sedges, seepage herbs. Soils - Yonges (Typic Ochraqualfs).
