Description Small tree or large dense shrub to 30 ft. with heavily furrowed brown bark in longitudinal plants 0.5 in thick; rare to Florida keys; common West Indies.
Habitat Hand-planted backyard woods on high ridge in cleared pinewoods; marl over Miami oolite.
