Description Locally common perennial herb with onion aroma, in colonies; all vegetative.
Habitat Valley slope, soil a rich humus-loam over gneissic rock, perhaps with calcium; mesic buckeye/sugar maple cove forest; shaded; diverse herbaceous flora including Claytonia, Delphinium, Dentaria, Dicentra, Erythronium, Trillium, Viola; gentle wet slopes.
