1.  Stems not glaucous, sometimes with numerous rough emergences; petioles subterete, usually with a sharp medial rib; on fertile portion of stem, leaf segments narrowly lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, mostly with a prolonged narrowly deltate apex; rachis usually gradually curved, not angular between each segment; staminate flowers deeply retuse at the apex and completely fused into a synandarium, showing no indication of the line of fusion
